Gabe was born and raised in our beautiful city of Pensacola, Fl. This die-hard University of Alabama fan (Roll Tide!) attended and graduated Florida State University. He stayed in Tallahassee for several years before Pensacola called him back home.
Blessed with having a brother and two sisters also living in Pensacola, they frequently enjoy family events and get togethers! Gabe has two amazing kids of his own that have just recently graduated college and have started their own careers here in Pensacola as well—every parent’s dream come true! His son, Michael, is a clinical therapist and his daughter, Macy, is a second grade teacher.
Post-collegiate graduation, Gabe had several jobs while working to attaining his main goal: pharmaceutical sales. This goal was quickly accomplished and this year marks his 25th year with Takeda Pharmaceuticals!
CONGRATS GABE!!!!
At Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Gabe serves as a Neuroscientist Sales Specialist. This allows him to pursue one of his great passions, which is helping people with mental health disorders. Gabe grew up with a father suffering from mental illness, which had a major impact on his life.
Mardi Gras is a DEEP LOVE for Gabe!!! So deep in fact, that he is an 18-year member of the Krewe of Andres de Pez! He is currently on the board of de Pez and is honored to have been selected on the 2023 Court. He also currently serves as the Happy Hour Chair. Gabe is also a past member of the Mayoki’s, and the Mystics of Time in Mobile, Al.
In his spare time, Gabe enjoys playing poker (and is incredibly good at it!!!!). He has won several regional tournaments, with winnings of over $100,000 He loves that he can play the game regardless of age. The only thing he needs is his mind and maybe a killer bluff
In his card table time, he has met some of his greatest friends and enjoys playing with them on a regular basis. Gabe also enjoys golf and hiking with his Goldendoodle, Bentley, on the nature trails surrounding his home.
Gabe thoroughly enjoys fundraising and philanthropy. He was a Big Brother/Big Sister to a young man that grew up to graduate college. He also volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), Salvation Army, and the Gulf Coast Kid’s House, locally. Gabe has a strong connection especially to the YMCA youth groups, where he spent most of his childhood summers. He has raised thousands of dollars for these very YMCA youth programs so that our present and future youth can continue to find the enjoyment as he once did, all those summers ago!
